No To Purple Haze
What you can do now?
Purple
Haze (North) has been allocated by Hampshire for soft sand extraction
and then as a reserve non-hazardous landfill prior to restoration.
Although the Campaign Team is maintaining a watching brief and continues
to lobby when opportunities arise, public campaigning is unlikely
to ramp up again until the planning application process gets underway.
(Position in December 2013)
Purple
Haze (South) has been offered to Dorset for minerals extraction
& restoration. The public campaign will be shaped in response
to the planning timetable and also Dorset's approach when considering
the site for inclusion in their Minerals Plan. (Position in December
2013)
In the meantime, you
could -
- join the Campaign Interest Group and receive updates
about our plans & progress - email "JOIN" to info@forf.org.uk,
giving your first/last name and a postal address.
Please note: We do not share our mailing list with other organisations
and we use postal addresses solely to track the campaign's geographic
spread. Email + Facebook postings are our primary public news
channels and we use our private Interest Group Forum for detailed
tactical planning.
- help the campaign by volunteering directly to join the
FoRF Committee. We advertise current vacancies
and would be happy to help with any enquiries - please email us
at info@forf.org.uk.
- donate to the campaign's fighting fund as we depend on
supporters' contributions to meet our day to day running costs
such as producing campaign materials, 3rd party insurance, printing,
room hire, etc. If you can help in this way, and regardless of
the size of donation you can afford, please click here.
Thank you - your support is very much appreciated.
